ALUISCE, Milehouse, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, was the organised development that many planners had only dreamed of in
County Wexford. It was a first in Enniscorthy, being of uniform design, put together by a team of Dublin based Architects, Garde & Associates. Many months of preparation of drawings and discussions with
Planning Officers came to the forefront, when Planning Permission was granted for Aluisce. |

This was the start of Aluisce Developments Ltd., in 1992. The original Gaelic name of the stream
which runs through the development, was searched for, over many years, by locals, to no avail but during planning preparations the name "Al-Uisce" (a derivitive of Alainn Uisce – Beautiful Water)was
discovered. This seemed the perfect solution to christening a Company that would stand out from all others, and indeed giving the development a genuine link with it's surroundings, a point both
Directors felt very strongly about. All the better, that the name was Irish. This started a link with bringing our proud heritage into the 21st Century. On completion of this scheme, Aluisce has
been described as "a prestigious development". |
